What a wonderful mess, the brute couldn't believe where he'd ended up, such a barren land, so empty, and hot, and silent. Silent? "Why so quiet?" he whispered under a panting breath. "Why so dead?" he continued. Why so alone he thought dragging his paws over the dusty ground. Have the gods forgotten you as well? he thought only speaking to the barren land he'd found. The brute froze, in his tracks, his body invisible on his dusty dry, and basically dead paradise. He disappeared in the dust clouds, as the wind swept by. "Your gods...They've betrayed you, huh?" he muttered under his breath. "Forgotten you. A memory doomed to the past, thrown to the back of the mind, and never called upon again." he muttered, looking his paws on the cracked, dry ground.
Yes, I know. I know that feeling...We've both been betrayed and forgotten. no matter how valianetly we've served those who watch over us. They care not" he siad as he began to move again. You needen't worry now... a voice whispered. The brute looked up, and around, he could find nothing, scent, nor body. "Who is there?" he barked. You are among friends... the voice said. "Friends?" he inquired. Yes, friends. You are among the forgotten, the barren lands of Einheit. it explained. "Am I?" Phantom lifted his head and look a look around, barren dusty hills, fallen dried logs, brittle and crumbly to the touch. A gathering of high rocks, Roasting in the sun to the north. He looked to the west where a cave seem to form from mounds of fallen trees, and structured by boulders, there were multiple entrances to it, and within seemed like it'd be safe and structured enough to support many others.
You see my beauty, no? the voice rang as clouds, plump, and fat began to move in with the north east blowing winds. "Yes, this palce just needs someone to care for it" he barked. I have so much to offer, so much more to give, but I was too lost to the past fair traveler. the voice murmmered. The wind shifted, bringing another scent, this one was familiar, and appriciated. Phantom broke into a sprint, "WATER!" he howled in delight. Blue, out of all the brown, and dirt tones, came blue as a lively stream came into view. He lapped at the life giving water, no recharged, as shade rolled in from the angry gray clouds that loomed overhead. They rummbled angrily, but he stood fast. "You will not frighten me away!" he barked sternly. it is here i will start anew, I've decided. he thought. Lightning flashed and thunder roared calling the rains to drench him, drench the land, turn it mush, and mud.
Phantom stomped his paw. this land and I are one, we share the pain of being betrayed, anbanddoned, forgotten. "Worry no more, for I shall care for you now. This is my home, this is where I shall begin anew." the brute barked. He ran, paws pounding through the mud, and he senses guiding him through the blinding, drenching rain. He found the place where he would make his dens, and climbed atop the slippery rocks and braved the crumbling trees until he reached the absolute peak. There he gathered his paws unfer his body, and raised his head to the menacing skies. Releasing a howl unlike any beast could muster. in the face of this horrifying storm he took his claim of this forgotten land. "I am Phantom! I claim this land in the name of the Valcarron pack!" he howled with determination in his eyes.
